Empower yourself... empower your physiology...
Empower your movement - incorporate quality, tested movement based on your specific goals and design. If your movement tests well, the far-reaching implications of that are mind blowing. Everything effects everything. Test all things, all the time. Your feedback will continue to get better and better.
Empower your nutrition - incorporate the highest quality, local and organic foods you can find. In today's fast paced world, it's impossible to source these foods always. Do the best you can, and don't sweat it when you have to resort to something else. Continue to ask yourself better questions. If you need help, look here.
Empower your thoughts - recognize dis-empowering states and beliefs. If something no longer works for you, change it.
peace-

Buyer beware...
Recent article showing that half of the fish consumed is coming from raised farms...
(FISHIES)
Many do not realize that this is the equivalent to conventional farming and agriculture. These fish are not on a natural diet, but are fed corn and other grain that they are not suited to eat. They are also limited in their 'roaming' space and in the process end up swimming in their own un-washed feces.
We have all been told omega 3's are good for us, and that fish like salmon are loaded with them. Unfortunately, because these fish are not on a natural diet, you're not getting what you're paying for and are potentially setting yourself up for other health hazards. Fatty acids come in different ratios, and when the ratio's are higher as they are in the typical processed diet, then there is a greater chance for inflammation of tissues to occur. The other problem with farmed fish is the amount of PCB's it contains. Better known as Polychlorinated Biphenyl, these known carcinogens are linked to various ill health defects including but not limited to cancer, immune system defects, reproductive and neurological issues. Clearly something I would like to refrain from.
Other lesser known sources of omega 3 fatty acids...
Grass fed beef (The Movement Co-op)
pastured dairy
walnuts
cod liver oil (greener pastures)
flaxseed
Enjoy!

Organic Foods on a Limited Budget (from Mercola)
For cheap organic food, try your local farmers' market, where you are likely to find organic items available for considerably less than what you pay in the grocery stores. Going to the farmers' market is a great habit to get into anyway, since you'll find wonderful fresh foods and you will help sustain local farmers.
You can also join a food co-operative or buy a "share" of a farm through community supported agriculture (CSA). You get delicious, healthy, organic food at a reasonable cost and help local farmers as well.
Here are some other tips:
- Stick primarily to unprocessed foods. The price of prepared organic food is steep, but if you eat mostly unprocessed food you will save money.
- Try the bulk bins. Many regular supermarkets have started carrying bulk organic items, and your local natural food store will probably have an even better selection. Rice, pasta, oatmeal, nuts, etc. are all there and at rock bottom prices.
- If you have the time, space, and desire, grow your own. Even a row of green beans or a couple of cherry tomato plants on your balcony can provide a lot of food for just a few dollars’ worth of investment in a packet of seeds.
- Look into joining a natural food co-op in your area. Members take advantage of the idea of bulk buying to get better prices on items.
