October 27 An Experiment
Try this experiment today. Select one particular thing in your life that is not going well and you wish to make right. Next consider the matter in the light of your knowledge of God and of prayer. Realize that this thing cannot remain inharmonious or negative once you know the Truth about it. Realize that you are now knowing the Truth and claim that the divine Power in you is now healing the condition completly and permanently.
Then give thanks. Remember that praise and thanksgiving are the most powerful prayers of all.
The next day, repeat your thanksgiving, until the answer comes.
In between prayers you must keep your thought right concerning the problem. This is vital. All-day-long guiding of your thought cannot fail to bring you demonstrations
My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the Lord (Psalm 104:34).

Marathon, not a sprint.....
We've all heard this line many times, "Life is a marathon, not a sprint", but it's meaning holds true. There is another one quite similar which I am sure you all know as well, "The tortoise beats the hare". I think these sayings hold some key ideas in how we should live our lives. Unfortunately we rarely slow until we have to. Why is this? Why are we so convience and NOW driven? Instant gratification? Selfishness? Whatever it is, this attitude has to change. One realm which I feel I have the most experience in is that of health and wellness. Today, over 60% of our country is OBESE. That is a staggering number and one that is not on the decline. When one approaches the desire to start making healthy habits, realize it is not a sprint. Instead of instant gratification, make it more lasting by incorporating ways to include it easily into your lifestyle. Slowly, the old ways will melt away, along with the old you.

Sleep.....
zzzz.....We all know how important it is, but few of us actually follow the standard recommendations. "Experts" say 6-8, but I truly believe it should be more like 8-10 =0 Sleep is the number one thing you can do for TOTAL BODY RESTORATION. Want to look and feel younger, sleep. Want to lose weight, sleep. Want to increase size and strength, sleep. It is highly UNDERRATED. However, it IS related to a host of lifestyle problems today seen in our society. This is the equivalent to building a solid foundation. Are you getting yours?

Apparently there is a link to proper amounts of sleep and memory. Go figure!

Called to serve...?
"Not the maker of plans and promises, but rather the one who offers faithful service in small matters. This is the person who is most likely to achieve what is good and lasting."

Making Your Dreams Come True...
Most people indulge in some sort of daydreaming. There is no harm in this as long as such daydreams are positive and constructive in character. You are always thinking, when you are not asleep, and you know that it is in the selection of your thought that your destiny lies.
Do not let your daydreams take the form of an escape from actuality. A daydream is an evasion when it consists in fantasying something pleasant that nevertheless you believe could ever happen. Such a daydream debilitates the whole mentality.
Some people daydream about all sorts of unpleasant things. They rehearse imaginary quarrels, imaginary injustices, accidents, and misfortunes, and because they do believe that such things could happen, and because thought is creative, they actually bring them upon themselves.
See to it that your daydreams are concerned with such happenings as you would really like to find in your life. Know that anything good is possible; remember the creative power of thought; and your daydreams will come true.
A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways (James 1:8)

Just do it...no...DO LESS!
Why in this beautiful country are we so into compartmentalizing life? We definitely have a works mentality when it comes to many things. It seems that since one now very famous shoe company coined the term "Just Do It", America has never stopped running (I might not have this blog if that was literally the case:) In John 15:1-17 it states that God "prunes" us to make us better. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be more fruitful. God wants us to do less, and be more. In other words, always consider quality over quantity. Unfortunately we have the equation all wrong in this country. We wake up at the latest possible minute from a night of little to no sleep, get dressed as quickly as possible, hop in car to grab a donut and coffee for breakfast to "pep" us up. To fuel the fire even more, we are overly stressed at our jobs, working long hours and come home to eat dinner standing over the sink. Now where in that was our reflection time? our time to send gratitude to our Lord? our time to take care of our bodies? you get the point. Lets get back to our roots. Its time to wake up and just be. Jesus said, Be in me! Be like me! Just be...

Lit On Fire!!!
Enter Thursday October 2nd. As I mentioned before I was blown away by a call from an old friend and the new developments he has stumbled on. I am also blown away by the fact that he wants me to be an integral part of The Movement. This is going to be unlike anything Dallas has ever seen. If you aren't sure what it is I HIGHLY suggest you check it out at www.themovementdallas.com . Anyway, not only do I feel like God has lit a purpose driven fire under me, but I cannot sleep, eat, think anything else. I have also been enlightened to what I would call a gift from these guys. There are a few nutritional supplements that have slowly begun to rock my world that I truly believe will change lives. More on this to come in the future......
(if you are interested of course I will go into it, just didn't have time now. Please email me or comment if you are)

The power of positive thinking...
I am energy. I am strength. I am power. I am filled with omnipotent life. The vitality of God permeates every fiber of my being. I am well and whole in every part of my body. The grace and poise of our Lord, Jesus Christ, enfolds me. I have nothing to deal with but my own thoughts. God has no difficulties to overcome. When God speaks the whole world is made fresh.
Love, Hope, Faith = LIFE

The Movement, Dallas
I want to start off by giving kudos where they are due. I ran into an old friend from college yesterday who is helping transform how healthy living is defined here in Dallas and the world. We caught up on each others where abouts and I was excited to hear of some new developments he was implementing in the area. He has developed a philosphy of lifestyle, nutrition, performance, etc. that encompasses everything that should and could be right with living. He has been brave enough to cut through what is out there and open up a studio when we so desperately need it. Please check out his site and pass it on to those around you.
